Peter has an Advanced Certificate in Ship & Boat Drafting, a NSW State medal for the highest pass in Ship & Boat Drafting and a Diploma in Naval Architecture. Peter started his working life as apprentice fitter/turner at Garden Island Dockyard, (Dept Defence – Sydney), where he successfully completed courses and gained experience in different facets of ship building and maintenance. Some of these courses and facets are:

  • Mobile, purpose built on board machining
  • Industrial / marine hydraulics
  • Diesel engines
  • Outboards
  • Welding

Peter then moved on from Garden Island and spent time working for Caterpillar and then later during the time where he was studying, he completed a traineeship at Rolls Royce Industrial Power, learning Boiler water treatment, Materials handling and Structural steelwork Peter’s passion has always been boats and ships and he returned to his origins and has been designing plate alloy boats for “Predator Boats”, other small manufacturers and one off clients.Peter enjoys all area’s of boat design and especially likes working through the structural integrity of a boat, to gain a sleek, tough boat that will give it’s user a safe, long and enjoyable time in it.

Peter has been deep wreck diving, spear fishing, fishing, water skiing and boating for most of his life and he is regularly out there doing it, on bar crossings, beach launches and open sea’s. You quite often see Peter running around on Jervis Bay or crossing the Sussex bar and heading for St Georges Head or Bendalong direction in one of his designs.
